Info: I have been starting and training horses for 10 years, mostly cutting horses. I give a lot of lessons for ametuers. I believe in starting colts and giving them a job going in the pasture, gathering cattle, etc. My operation is based on 300 acres. I also have 700 acres in cattle down the road that I ride my colts on. I use a lot of Monty Roberts techniques in my program. Having a horse that trusts the rider is a key in my program. I also do basic riding lessons for the beginner with their horse or one of mine. I help all my customers buy, and sell horses. I have recently gotten into team sorting. Once a week I put on a sorting practice/lessons and twice a month a jackpot sorting, and once a month a NCHA cutting in our arena. My business is built around family, my wife and daughter are very active and I encourage my customers to bring thier families as often as possible. |

Name: TL Horses
Address: 10427 E HWY 84
Website: www.TLHorses.com
Email: piggin_string@yahoo.com
Phone: 254-644-2478
Info: Specializing in the starting of young colts and horses for most any discipline with focus on Reining, Working Cow Horse, Cutting and Barrels. Collection, bending, flexing, body control, softness and consistency are vital in my program and are worked on daily. I have a gentle nature about my training and understand that respect is essential to training horses. And, I mean that from both sides. The trainer must respect the horse in order to obtain respect from the horse. I like to compare the training of a horse to dancing, especially in regards to ground work/manners. A horses' motion can be easily manipulated by your body language. The same applies to riding/training of the horse. A horse, as you know, cannot speak and tell you that he doesn't understand, or that he is confused. Therefore you must be able to read his body language and likewise, he must be able to interpret yours. The next thing you know....you're dancing! Please visit my website for information and videos! |
